Arkansas
The Arkansas state flag features a red field with a large white diamond bordered in blue. Inside the diamond, the word ÔÇ£ARKANSASÔÇØ is written in blue, with one blue star above and three blue stars below. Surrounding the diamond are 25 white stars on the blue border, representing Arkansas as the 25th state to join the Union. The flag was designed by Willie K. Hocker, the diamond symbolizes ArkansasÔÇÖs status as the only diamond-producing state in the U.S. The flag flown today was officially adopted on February 26, 1913.
