Betsy Ross Historic Flag

The Betsy Ross Flag is a powerful symbol of the birth of the United States, with its design reflecting the struggle for independence and unity among the original thirteen colonies. It features thirteen alternating red and white stripes, symbolizing the colonies, and a blue canton with thirteen white stars arranged in a circle. The circle of stars represents the idea that the new states were united and equal.

This flag is often associated with the legend of Betsy Ross, who is said to have sewn the first flag of the United States under George Washington's direction in 1776. The use of stars and stripes in a simple but symbolic form highlights the ideals of liberty and self-governance upon which the nation was founded.
