Florida
The flag of Florida, known as the "State Flag of Florida," features a simple yet evocative design. It consists of a white field with a red saltire, or diagonal cross, symbolizing the cross of St. Andrew. In the center of the flag, the state seal is displayed, which includes a depiction of a Native American Seminole woman scattering flowers, a steamboat sailing on water, and a lush landscape with a sabal palm tree, the state tree of Florida. The state seal also includes the motto "In God We Trust." The red saltire was added to the flag in 1900 to distinguish it from the white flag of truce, and the flag in its current form was officially adopted on May 21, 1985. The flag represents Florida's rich history, cultural diversity, and natural beauty.
