Indiana
The flag of Indiana, known as the "Indiana State Flag," features a striking and symbolic design. It consists of a deep blue field with a gold torch in the center, symbolizing enlightenment and liberty. Surrounding the torch are nineteen gold stars arranged in a circle, with one larger star positioned above the torch. The larger star represents Indiana as the nineteenth state to join the Union, while the stars in the circle represent the other states. Below the torch is a banner with the state motto, "The Crossroads of America," reflecting Indiana's central role in the nation's history and transportation network. The flag was officially adopted on May 31, 1917, and it embodies Indiana's pride, heritage, and significance in American history.
