Mexico
The flag of Mexico consists of a vertical tricolor with green, white, and red stripes. The green represents hope, the white symbolizes purity, and the red stands for the blood of the national heroes. In the center of the white stripe, you’ll find the Mexican coat of arms. This emblem features an eagle perched on a cactus, devouring a snake—a powerful symbol based on Aztec legend. The flag of Mexico flown today, was adopted on September 16, 1968, and it was confirmed by law on February 24, 1984.
